Anita Geugien

My name is Anita Geugien, and I am the founder and director of Lichtfontein Opleidingen (Fountain of Light Professional Education) and Center for the Art of Living, located in Appelscha in the north of the Netherlands. For more than three decades, I have devoted my work to guiding people through embodied transformation as a Chakra yoga teacher, Chakra therapist, massage therapist, trainer, and developer of eco-spiritual courses.

Anita Geugien and Anodea Judith

I first met Anodea in Amsterdam in 1998 while attending her workshops. What began as a moment of inspiration soon grew into a long-standing professional collaboration and friendship. In the early years, I organized many of her workshops and trainings, helping introduce and expand her work throughout the Netherlands. In 2007, I became fully Sacred Centers certified, and ever since, I have been teaching and developing these trainings within my own Center.

The chakra system became a turning point in both my personal life and professional path. During my yoga teacher training, I encountered Anodea’s books and was immediately captivated by the clarity, depth, and compassion of this model of human development. It gave me language for experiences I had long sensed but could not yet articulate. More importantly, it helped me understand myself and others, in a profoundly embodied way.

Over the years, my respect for the wisdom of the body has only deepened. Working through physical challenges, including rheumatic condition and intergenerational fears, taught me to listen rather than push through resistance. Meditation on the different layers of the chakras allowed me to access insight beyond thinking alone. Again and again, I have experienced that the body speaks truth long before the mind is ready to hear it. At my Center, weekly yoga classes integrate chakra-based practices that support grounding, emotional resilience, and personal clarity. One of the greatest joys of my work is witnessing students reclaim confidence and direction in their lives. Equally meaningful to me are the friendships and communities that naturally emerge. These being spaces where people feel safe, secure, seen, supported, and connected. Through the years, my training programs have supported teachers and therapists in bringing practical, embodied chakra work into therapeutic, coaching, and educational fields. My intention has always been to bridge spiritual insight with real-life application, making transformation accessible, grounded, and sustainable.

Learning to consciously work with manifestation through the chakras was another profound turning point for me. Today, I am living the life and work that once seemed unattainable, a reminder that when vision, embodiment, and courageous action come together, transformation becomes possible. My work stands at the intersection of ancient wisdom and contemporary practice. I am passionate about inspiring and supporting people in developing clarity, resilience, and authentic leadership, so they can live and lead from a place of embodiment, purpose, and heart.

It remains a deep honor that Anodea continues to return to Lichtfontein to offer her Masterclasses here in the Netherlands. Each visit renews not only our professional collaboration but also the friendship that has grown alongside it. In the same way, it continues to nourish and deepen her connection with the European audience and keeps creating a living bridge between continents, communities, and shared vision and wisdom.

Practical Tips to Keep Your Aura Healthy and Strong

1. Take enough rest and time for yourself.

Make sure you are not distracted. Time alone is meant to reconnect you with your deepest core. Ask yourself the simple question: “What is going on?” You don’t have to figure out an answer. Simply wait and see what arises. Sometimes nothing comes at first, and then later something gently surfaces. If you feel like doing something for yourself, choose something you truly enjoy. That is incredibly nourishing and recharging.

2. Feel whether you truly want something or not.

Give yourself space to tune in. If someone asks something of you, you do not have to decide immediately. If they insist, you can kindly state that their problem does not have to become your problem. You are allowed to take space to feel whether you want to do something or not.

3. Do things one at a time.

Multitasking is a myth. It may seem faster, but it actually costs more time and energy. Stay focused and avoid distractions.

4. Breathe.

Regularly take time to breathe deeply in and out. Breath is life.

When you exhale deeply, you release what is too much for you. When you inhale consciously, you breathe in your own strength, here and now.

5. Become aware several times a day of what is going well in your life.

Name it to yourself and to others. Be consciously grateful and happy about it. This raises your vibration and energy level. It also activates the law of attraction: whatever you positively emphasize is drawn toward you. The opposite is true as well, so avoid unnecessary negative self-criticism. And besides — it is always uplifting to hear that something is going well.

6. Meditate regularly.

Imagine that with each inhale, you draw back the energy that has been lost in worrying and overthinking, bringing it back to nourish yourself. With each exhale, gently release negative energy and send goodwill into the world.

7. Ask daily for guidance and protection.

Invite the Universe, angels, enlightened beings, and other positive forces to guide and protect you on your life path. Visualize a blue-white light surrounding you, woven with golden threads — attracting positivity, strength, and love, while reflecting back anything that prevents you from being your true self.
